Answers to Inflation?

When health-care costs rise, exercise more. Working out, not laughter, appears to be the medicine and prevention.

When food prices rise, practice fasting (or caloric restriction). I think this helps towards longevity as well.

When shopping becomes unsustainable, visit a park or a forest (it boosts one’s mental health as well). Or practice the discipline of simplicity.

When book costs go up, read pdfs. In my case, I just need read the books I’ve already purchased (sometimes years ago).

When movie ticket prices are up, uh, you know what to do.

When fuel prices escalate, take public transportation and/or walk more.

Strangely enough, inflation may not be a terrible thing if it spurs us to do the things we’ve put off on account of material comfort and financial surplus.
