- See if the journal shows up in the Scimago Journal & Country Rank list. If it does, it’s a good sign it’s fine.
- See if the journal shows up on Beall’s List of Predatory Journals; if it does, run.
- Check the journal against RX Comm’s 6 Ways to Spot Predatory Journals.
